Most of my Shopify work happens inside stores that are already selling. That means changes have to be made carefully, tested against real theme code and shipped without breaking checkout, product templates or the apps a team depends on every day.

I work as a freelance Shopify developer — you hire me directly and I do the work myself. I have worked on roughly 1,700 Shopify stores over the years, which mostly means I have seen how themes get modified, where they break and how to make a change that the next person can still read.

    I look at the live theme, the theme code, the apps installed and what is actually causing the problem before quoting anything.

    Agree on scope

    I describe what I would change, in plain language, and what I would leave alone.

    Build on a copy

    Work happens on a duplicated theme or development store so the live storefront is not affected.

  4. 04

    Review together

    You get a preview link and we go through it before anything publishes.

    Publish and watch

    I publish, check the key templates and stay available for the follow-up items that always come up.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work on a theme that other developers have already modified?

Yes, that is most of my work. I read the existing code first and keep changes in line with how the theme is already structured rather than rewriting things unnecessarily.

Do you replace page builders with native sections?

Yes. I rebuild PageFly or Replo pages as native Shopify sections so the content stays editable in the theme editor without the extra app payload.

Will my team still be able to edit the page?

That is the point of building proper sections and blocks. Content, images and ordering stay editable in the Shopify theme editor.

Do you take on small fixes?

Yes. A lot of long-term client relationships started with one small fix.

How much does it cost to hire a Shopify developer?

It depends on the scope. A small fix might be a few hours; a rebuild of key templates is larger. I review the store first, describe what I would change in plain language, and quote before any work starts — so you know the cost before committing.
