Rebuilt the Shopify store's funnel so events, the bookshop and the newsletter each give visitors one clear next step, with a mobile-first purchase path.

01 / Context

The situation

Zibby Media is a content-rich publishing brand with books, author events, a bookshop and a newsletter. All of those were competing for attention on the same pages. Event pages sat three clicks deep, the newsletter had no clear reason to sign up, and the buying path was hard to complete on a phone.

02 / Role

My responsibilities

  1. 01Restructured the site so each audience — readers, event attendees, subscribers — has an obvious path
  2. 02Built a single-page event funnel with supporting social proof
  3. 03Reworked the mobile buying flow from product page through cart
  4. 04Set up the newsletter call to action and lead magnet

03 / Build

Technical work completed

  1. 01Single-page event templates that surface dates, details and registration without extra clicks
  2. 02Sticky newsletter call to action with a lead magnet, connected to the email platform
  3. 03Mobile-first product and cart layouts with fewer steps and clearer form fields
  4. 04Instant SMS follow-up wired to purchase and registration events

04 / Status

Result and current status

Events are now reachable from the main navigation in one step, the newsletter has a clear offer, and the buying path was rebuilt around mobile visitors. Zibby Media is also one of my monthly retainer clients — I handle the store's maintenance and development requests month to month.
