Website Speed and Core Web Vitals
Slow sites are usually slow for specific, findable reasons: too many third-party scripts, unoptimized images, a page builder loading everything at once, or apps and plugins that were installed once and never removed.
I measure before I change anything, work through the actual causes, and measure again afterwards. I do not promise a particular score, because scores move with network conditions, traffic and the tools you have installed.
01 / Fit
Who I usually help
- 01Ecommerce stores where mobile pages feel slow to real customers
- 02Sites whose Core Web Vitals are failing in Search Console
- 03Stores carrying years of app or plugin buildup
- 04Businesses that want a clear explanation of what is slow and why
02 / Problems
What usually brings people here
- 01Largest Contentful Paint is slow because of hero images or render-blocking assets
- 02Layout shifts as fonts, banners and app widgets load
- 03Interaction delays caused by heavy JavaScript
- 04Page builders adding large CSS and JS payloads to every page
- 05Third-party tracking and chat scripts loading in the wrong order
- 06Unoptimized images and missing width/height attributes
03 / Scope
What I can do
- 01Core Web Vitals review using field and lab data, not just a single test run
- 02Shopify theme audits: script cleanup, app leftovers, section-level JavaScript
- 03WordPress audits: plugin load review, caching setup, theme and builder overhead
- 04JavaScript and CSS reduction, deferring and removing what is not used
- 05Image optimization, modern formats, responsive sizing and correct loading attributes
- 06App and plugin auditing with a recommendation on what can go
- 07Caching configuration and CDN/Cloudflare setup and tuning
- 08Database cleanup where it is genuinely part of the problem
- 09Mobile-specific performance work, since that is where most of the traffic is
- 10Before-and-after measurement so you can see what changed

04 / Process
A direct, careful process
- 01
Measure first
Current numbers on key templates, mobile and desktop, plus what field data exists.
- 02
Find the causes
A short written list of what is costing the most, in order.
- 03
Fix in passes
Biggest wins first, tested as I go, so a regression is easy to trace.
- 04
Measure again
Same templates, same conditions, so the comparison is honest.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you guarantee a 90+ PageSpeed score?
No, and I would not trust anyone who does. Scores depend on your apps, tracking scripts and testing conditions. What I can do is remove the real bottlenecks and show you the before and after.
Will I lose features to make the site faster?
Sometimes there is a trade-off, usually around apps or third-party scripts. I will tell you what each one costs and let you decide.
Do you work on Shopify and WordPress performance?
Both, and the approach is similar even though the specifics differ.
